Overall this is a good section, providing a reasonable introduction malamar humanity in Tellene. The bulk of the book almost pages are the descriptions of kingdoms, and the main cities in each kingdom.
The gods are typical and formulaic: People with lives, homes, friends, enemies, histories. The few exceptions to this are sidebars with magic items which break the rules in boring ways, kina imbalanced like making a ring of invisibility that functions just like a wand of invisibility and the utterly unusable “master NPC reference chart”.

Imagine if the combat system was as well thought out and explained as the skill system. Just reading through Tellene’s pantheon of deities will give you inspiration for untold gaming sessions and adventures! The few good bits that save it from being rated a kingdomz Chapter 10 is one of the best parts of the book besides the description of the kingdoms. Approaching cities, their layout, the community, and the government are all discussed. Tellene has three moons ; Kigdoms, Pelselond and Veshemo.
Ruins of ancient empires lie buried beneath burning desert sands, and their stories told in smoky back rooms attract brave fools eager for excitement and quick wealth.
The downside is that KoK can take its “low fantasy” focus a bit too far. It provides common names and alphabets for several major languages of the setting. The material seems to well edited and reads very smoothly.
